We live up the street but rarely think to go. Went to celebrate our anniversary & remembered what a true treat a Ruby's steak is! Our server was excellent, if a bit loud for the space. Everything from the shrimp cocktail to the scrumptious piece of BonBonerie Opera Cream Torte (compliments of the house for our anniversary) was great. Agree w/below, strange to tip server & captain. Forced us to split the tip, which should really be up to them.

$40 Corkage fee! What a rip. Tables too close to each other. Not worth the price.

Steak was cooked perfectly. My swordfish was very good. Vegetarians have no entree options! Not used to tipping server and captain. Decor is an interesting mix-very pretty building and light fixtures, nice woodwork and exposed brick, but the dining room's tacky plastic plants and mirrored doorframe are a little much. The Precinct seems to pride itself on good customer service, which it has, but night I went it seemed a touch forced.

Family of six, everything was excellent except the price. I know why they are expensive but ....
The one complaint which will be a question directed to the house today is The veal chop had a very salty crust seared to the outside. Too salty for s 44.95 piece of meat. I should have sent it back. Is there MSG in this salty mix? I react to MSG and I just had one of the worst nights of sleep ever. If they admit to the MSG I will never go back

Although we had reservations the greeting was awkward and we were left standing without being responded to. The steaks were excellent and were as ordered. The major problem: we chose a wine we knew and knew we liked. The waiter suggested another one which was "better." It was not. We specified not tannic and this one was too tannic. The room is fabulous but these factors detracted from the experience.
