Transformed from the original restaurant to be brighter and newer. At the beginning the service was very slow. food quite expensive. A little TLC will help.
Cool place to go and check out. I was quite disappointed with the food in that it was just not all that exciting or well done. Foie Gras with rhubarb and a sort of french toast did not come together. Duck two ways was pedestrian. Scallops were decent, far too salty, and coming from me that's bad. I'd rather just get a drink at the bar, check the place out and skip the dinner.
New owner Bud Liebler has upgraded the food and service. Of all things, the innovative New Orleans chef had pierogis on the menu, said his mother used to make them. Scrumptous and not the typical Polish fare. What could be more romantic or Detroit?
Well-prepared food expertly served in a beautiful historic mansion.
Fabulous!!! Great food and service. Claudia Tyagi has created an extensive, reasonable, and well balanced wine list. The new chef has brought the food quality back up to what it should be for this beautiful restaurant.
