I had an entree of Totten Inlet mussels. These were the biggest, best tasting mussels I've ever had! I tasted all the other dishes that the other diners at my table had and all were interestingly prepared with very fresh ingredients, but at least one had too much salt for my taste. Service was slow.
Interesting food, everything I had was a little salty, but still tasted good. Asparagus with a halibut bacon sauce on top was different. I probably wouldn't go back, just because there are so many places to eat, but worth a try.
A great place to taste the Northwest. A very inventive menu and wine list. I try to eat in the bar - the acoustics are better than in the dining room.
Zagat: revisit and re-rate. The food was pretentious (think foams & 15 ingredients that don't make sense). In a city filled with creative chefs using local ingredients in innovative ways, it misses the mark with overly complicated flavor and texture combinations. They need to hit reset and return to simple and spectacular flavors. A mediocre wine list to seal their fate. Cory Schreiber come back!
Always hectic and crowded lunch and dinner, you can't go wrong lunching or dining here. A Portland culinary tradition and treat.
