The foodie heaven, in deli form, of Ann Arbor. The ingredients are as fresh as the prices are hefty. At least, though, the portions are large and the flavors great. Be sure to try as much as you can while you wait for your food, and do try to pastry's next door. Otherwise, you've missed half of what makes Zingerman's special.

What a deli! A fantastic selection of cheeses, vinegars, coffee/teas, oils, meats makes it hard to come away with just the sandwich you went in for. Prices are high but it truly is a unique deli. Don't forget to try before you buy as they offer a taste of everything in the deli.

(I think the various reviews here are mixing up the deli (downtown) and the restaurant (edge of town, and completely different). The deli sandwiches are huge, with first-class ingredients and full-of-itself menu names and descriptions. The place is usually ultra-crowded and you have to stand in line to order. Still, things move fast and the results are worth the cost. Can hold its own in NYC, no question. Take home a loaf of their bread!

A lot of people complain about the line and wait, but if you go at the right time it is pretty dead. Everything I have ever eaten here has been amazing. It can get a little pricey, especially if you end up buying groceries as well. My brother, fiance, and dad swear by the Reuben, i don't like sourkraut so I haven't ever had it but everything i have had was well worth it.

Wait on line for an outrageously expensive Ann Arbor rumor. Anyone ever hear of Manhattan?
