This is an old school top notch restaurant. I always enjoy the wine, the food and the service. It's a little blue-haired, but I guess old people know a good steak when they taste one.

A perinneal favorite for quality and consistency in an Adirondack lodge atmosphere. The food is delicious if you like yours with a Southern twist, and the service is exceptional. Our only complaint is that they've raised the prices exhorbitantly, and reduced the portions noticeably. As such, for a casual, Southern dining experience, we think it's skewed and prefer other places. It used to be a regular spot, but now we rarely go.

Well executed. Consistent. A comfortable spot. You won't be disappointed.

Variety of the menu wins favor; Makes you feel like you've escaped to the mountians on any given day and is a welcome respite in the city; serice a bit haughty and staid for my taste; bill is always a surprise -- more expensive than I think it's going to be
