A little bit of NYC in Portland, complete with exposed brick walls and dark wood. The bar area in the front is a cozy spot to grab a quiet dinner or have drinks, while the main dining room is slightly more formal and refined. The menu is simple and unfussy, and features seasonal ingredients. The cheese plate and bacon wrapped dates stuffed with chevre and marcona almonds are out of this world. Excellent selection of wines by the glass.

Always a comfortable place with good food and drink. A good business meeting venue.

The "VQ" is a cozy little brick lined restaurant that boasts a mouth watering appetizer of bacon wrapped dates stuffed with chevre. With only 3 an order, you might want to double it. Another favorite is the lentil burger with carmelized onions and blue cheese. All time best: poached eggs on crab cakes and shallots with hollandaise paired with an espresso martini. Ooh la la! Dine on patio if able.

Dependable. Especially lovely on nice nights to sit outside.
