Yes - the price tage is huge, but it is a very special place and the staff are, as other reviews suggest, surprising warm and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble! Note their is a strict dress code, but they lent my husband a jacket. They seat most coupples such that they are next to each other - a nice touch.

We had an amazing dinner. The service was very top notch. The price is extremely high, around 425 euros for the two of us, but that is expected at this caliber restaurant in Paris.

While we like a little haute with our cuisine, this was over the top. We had the tasting menu with wine and had it for three and a half hours of slow and overly attentive service. The food was varied but genrerally good rising occasionaly with the risotto with truffles and the fois gras to delightful levels. But other dishes left you wondering what the fuss was about. Wine pairing were first class. Once is more than enough. .

Reacting poorly to la crise. Once a favourite - but it's become "distracted".

This is one of the best dining experiences you may ever have. The service is amazing. The food is wonderful... no it is heaven. What really takes you by surprise is the down to earth staff and how they engage with you to help you have the best dining experience possible. Let the Sommelier help guide you to your wine selection he will not let you down. Taillevent is the best in Paris and perhaps beyond! Just do it ...it's worth every penny!
