Sukiyaki was excellent and the tempura was good. Food fresh and delicious. Good sushi. Service was excellent.

sushi is dissapointmant. its not fresh at all. (but most americans are satisfied with it) i recommend u to go to the takeout sushi place perpendicular to akai hana. it's called sea bass or sth like that... service is not so great either...and food portion is way too much. but try the gatsudon if u get a chance to visit there in lunch time. that was really good.

Didn't touch sushi for 6 years until I moved to the burbs and discovered akai hana. Fresh and nicely presented.
