Nothing incredibly unique about Blackbird. I've been therea few time and will probably go back. The food is good, as it should be. The service is good, as it should be. The decor is simple and the tables are compact/ close together. If you are looking for an initmate dinner, this is not the place. If you are looking for a nice upscale dinner and do not mind your neighbor hearing your conversation, definitely try it.

Loud. The food is almost always good and sometimes really good. The waiters are often busy trying to be hip and lose track of what is going on at their tables.

Crowded tables make it impossible to have any conversation. The food is often very good but they are too long on attitude. I have only reluctantly returned a few times and maintain my opinions.

The $22 lunch special is the best deal in town. This is the type of restaurant that is perfect for lunch but less so for dinner. The tables that would be cramped in a high school cafeteria do not lend themselves to an enjoyable evening meal. Not so crowded it an almost perfect lunch time experience. As for the decor the cramped tables the austere white and brown themes with no art work is terrible. Great service and a s solid if small wine list

Brilliant!! I'd heard of Blackbird. Now I know why. It's not often I will go back to the same restaurant two nights in a row when I'm only in town for a few night. I'll be at Blackbird tomorrow night. Matanzas Creek by the glass was the first, very positive sign. The octopus was ingenious and the sturgeon entree was perfect. If I lived here, Blackbird would be my home away from home.
