Mexican food comes in all varieties- this is a combination of many in a great setting with fairly good service. Our server did not like to be questioned or challenged- like where's the hominy in the posole? Sauces were either sublime and complex or bland depending on the base. Guajillo sauce on pobillito was deeply satisfying, mole negro on tuna bland. Ceviche trio was sweet and sour- not our preference. Wine pairings were good to very good.

I was really excited to visit as I am a big fan of Top Chef Masters and was pulling for Rick Bayless. I'm a big fan and was excited to taste authent...ic Mexican flavors that he was so passionate about. I made the reservations far in advance (even before he won). Especially with regard to price, absolutely the worst meal I have ever had. Portions are ridiculously small, service is painfully slow, almost all dishes are flawed by some overwhelming ingredient. At close to $100 per person, this restaurant should be ashamed of itself.

Good food. Service pretty amateur like. No refill of water. Good place but does not really deserve a top 10 spot

Our family of five had a dreadful experience. The five-course tastings were fine, but only that, and not worth the $100/person cost or the 2 3/4 hours required to serve the food. The service was God-awful.. Server Number One spilled a third of a bottle of beer on my elderly uncle's lap, then had to be told to replace the bottle with a full one. He got my drink order wrong and his replacements never figured out who got what dish. Never again
