Lovely experience. Food VERY good, and we loved our server. Decor is a bit stark, especially if you're facing the wall, but the overall experience was a winner. (I had 2 "small bites" for desert -- the 1st 2 listed -- and both were almost unbearably delicious.)

An amazing experience!!!! Ellen took my wife to a private tour and she had the opportunity to meet and talk with the chef. The food was amazing. I had the Chef Tasting Menu and my wife scallops.. I had the Chef Tasting Menu and my wife scallops. I have to point out, all what you eat at this place is fresh and made there. We live and work in CC and go out a lot but we have to say is a truly Philadelphia Gem and they have won customers for life.

Disappointed. Appetizers were creative but samll and pricy the chicken was at best 16-18 rate, the Scalops were OK and overall I would not rate it over 20. I expect great service on a lazy Sunday night when the place is 80% empty but we had a very long wait between dishes and it took forver to get the check.

I am sorry to be disappointed in Fork. I lived in Philly when it opened and was a huge fan. The food is still very good, but the staff is inexplicably pretentious. When we walked in, the hostess wasn't there, but we were in sight of several waiters who ignored us and kept chatting. At one point, an elderly lady fell and no staff member helped her up. Shameful.

There's no doubt that Fork is a good restaurant although it's a little over-hyped. Dishes are innovative with fresh ingredients. Still it's possible for the food to arrive barely warm. Some standards are worth a try, i.e., the corn beef hash for brunch is very good. My biggest complaint is the noise & the problem doesn't come from the open kitchen. The din of a full house makes it difficult to hear the wait person when they're right at your ear
