I really enjoyed dining at this restaurant. Tasting menu is fun & keeps the control and choices with Chef Levin and offers good value.

Enjoys the three main ingredients of a top, but not great, restaurant: fine French cuisine, reasonably competent service, powerful window views. Tasting menu wisely keeps the control and choices with Chef Levin and offers good value. Steep wine prices underwrite the tasting menu. Service out of sync. Sleeping sommelier leaves wine glasses empty and wine bottle half full.

Exceptionally good food, stellar service, beautiful location. Can't think of anything negative to say. I was very impressed. I'll be back.

Food is superb. Winelist is $$$$ Staff are snotty, cold and officious. (I specified an order of one type of oysters, but waiter brought a mixed plate. Sommelier hovered and asked me 3 times if I needed any help within 5 minutes. Busboy dropped a load of crumbs on my lap. Maitre d' was obviously annoyed to have to show us a table. We were rushed out.) Overall, I had the feeling that none of these guys had ever eaten in a good restaurant.

Absolutely magnificent!! I spend a lot of time in Paris and a lot of time eating in Paris, and Lacroix would hold its own there. I personally know of no better French restaurant in America. Le Beck Fin is a retro caricature of a Parisian restaurant. Lacroix is the real deal, and, compared to Le Beck Fin, is a relative bargain.
