I would put this on my list of the top 5 restaurants in Tampa. It has a casual, calming atmosphere centered around an outdoor fountain. The new location is perfect because of the enormous amount of outdoor seating. The wait staff is always friendly, the sangria is great, and the food is excellent.

When I went there last night I had the best steak ever. The steaks are grilled over a flame. The price isn't too bad. For a 18 oz. New York Strip (which comes with a salad) it was 28.95. Bern's does give you a little more for the same price, but bern's steaks are smaller. The Steaks at Charley's I think are better then Bern's. So if you haven't been to Charley's yet go ASAP.

I have to Agree with the last review. While the food was wonderful, I dont like the fact that you have to buy everything separate. For 2 small steaks 1 potato and 1 asparagus and 2 iced teas we were over $100. Berns is better because for around $35 ea you get steak, soup, salad, veggies, potato and bread (cool crackers)

Nice try but to one who is a Tampa native BERN'S is BEST. However, Charlie's beats out Ruth, Don and holds its own aganist the Palm.�

By far the best steak I've ever had. Got the 20 oz filet. To be honest, didn't know you could get a filet that big. It was fantastic. The whole meal was great. It was expensive, but worth it when looking at the quality fo food.
