Real neighborhood gem in a restored house hidden off busy Rockville Pike. Everything was fresh from local growers and superb. You can really taste the difference when you eat locally grown yellow and red tomatoes. Menu is sample but plenty of choices for dinner. Save room for dessert - the cobbler was the best ever with fresh peaches! Service was friendly and it felt like you were in someone's home. Its worth the drive from DC!
In a word, delicious! Chef-inspired specials can be noteworthy and should be given serious consideration-especially if bison is listed. The mussels, served with crusty bread are always luscious, plump, savory, and plentiful. The soups, while interesting, tend to the bland. Any choice with risotto will not leave you disappointed and their meatloaf is as tender, tasty, and comforting as you could ever wish. Service is always very good & unobtrusive
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you're inside it's all about the unique menu, creative food and presentation, and excellent service.
I never expected to have such a distasteful and negative experience at Addie’s. It was complete with a piece of dirty dish rag embedded in the food followed by a confrontation with the chef, Arra Lawson, when we expressed our disappointment about his lack of concern or regret. Sadly, the owner, Jeff Black, shared the chef's attitude even though he promises to "strive for excellence in service and surpass expectations." Certailny not the case.
Food is excellent, good for a romantic evening out for dinner and a glass of wine.
