When a chef is embraced by a culinary muse and has his food paired by an oracle of Baccus, and delivered by knowledgeable caring messengers, it's hard to go wrong. From the (surprsingly good) rose-mussel pairing, and my wife's appetizer of worldclass boudin blanc, to the foie gras, duck, venison, to the desserts it was flawless. And this tasting menus, is substantial. Vicinity to Marcel's may be only reason to run for federal office.

Chef Wiedmaier is a master of culinary experiences. From front of house to the exceptional seven-course tasting menu, the experience is memorable. Standouts include the impossibly light turbot with english peas, lobster bisque en croute, and the famous boudin blanc. The sommelier creates masterful pairings and the chef can be seen greeting those who drop serious cash for the tasting menu.

Excellent menu with many choices. Priced as prix fixe with varying numbers of courses. Scallop mouse surrounding lump crab was a fabulous appetizer. The boudin blanc was deliciious - charcuterie as light as a cloud. Whoe Dover sole grilled was simple but perfectly prepared. The 3 course menu at $52 is a wonderful bargain. However, best of all is the service; the staff are well-trained and highly attentive to the diners' needs.
