Everything is above-and-beyond in this ultra chic hot Italian spot. Not your ordinary every day Italian meal. Food is exquisite, service impeccable, atmosphere luxurious...when choosing a restaurant in Little Italy, there is no comparison to the 'same-old run-of-the-mill joints.' Perfect for corporate and family gatherings too...a must see -the "wine cellar" room, where you'll feel like you're in a room in a tiny Tuscan village.
Great Food, great service, nice atmosphere. Similar restuarant in NYC would be double the price. Ossobucco is superb as are their pastas and sauces. Eat there, you will leave happy.
My two meals at Aldo's have been good but not great. Maybe I just haven't ordered the right things, but I don't think the food is as appealing as the decor.
The servings were TINY (maybe 3-4 oz of beef for dinner entree), the waiter was pretty ignorant (couldn't describe the different Italian beers they had) and the food was very bland. Overrated and overpriced. It was not better two years ago, but it was so highly reviewed I thought I must have just hit it on an off night. Won't go back again.
be careful if you order wine, they opened several bottles without asking and ran the bill to the roof...
