Probably the best pasta on the East Coast and rest is wonderful, too. The locale is unlikely but that is forgotten once inside. The welcome is warm and welcomiing. The prices are high, so be wary. But the experience is superb. Try it for lunch, preferably as a guest.

Best Italian Cuisine in the Baltimore/Annapolis area. We enjoyed the grilled calamari and prosciutto appetizers, and the spinach ravioli w/cream sauce and gnocchi entrees, all of which were extremely good. Cant wait to return once my wallet recovers. The next time I'm in the mood for great Italian food I'll make a reservation.

We selected Alberto based on proximity to BWI and a strong website. The Northern Italian food was among some of the best I ever had. The highlights included a Risotti with Porcini that was made from scratch for two people (we waited 45 minutes), and was quite possibly the finest risotto we ever had (including several trips to Italy). The other dishes included a Tuna Carpaccio special, a veal scaloppini, and a fresh gnocchi with gorgonzola.

An unexpectedly good restaurant for its location. It is expensive, but the food has never disappointed. The owner is from Italy, and is a hands-on type of guy, ensuring everything is perfect; he often comes to the table to make sure you are satisfied.

How does this place stay in business? Never crowded and ridiculous high prices all served by an owner who is a legend in his own mind!
