Once again beats all expectations and holds its place as my favourite french restaurant in the world that I have visited. Daniel Bouloud in NYC was a close second. The lunch menu is great value in London. The wine list is also amazing with some great deals to be found.

Superb food, impeccably prepared and delicious, albeit not particularly innovative. The fois with citrus glaze was particularly memorable. Wine pairings were excellent and not an unreasonable addition to the bill. The room is understated and inviting; the service was formal yet friendly. Worth every penny.

Slightly difficult to find. Refined setting with dark colors... not too fancy but pleasant and inoffensive. Staff was personable and unpretentious. Food showed high technical proficiency though not always viscerally satisfying. Foie gras appetizer is excellent and sweetbreads were well-prepared. Ironically complimentary amuse-bouches between courses may have been better than entrees. Deserves top marks for food but not my favorite meal in London.

We had our anniversary dinner there yesterday and took the 8 course tasting menu without wine. I can't praise them enough. Food and service completely upto the two star billing and in fact would have lived up a three star billing.
