after the good reviews i was quite disappointed. reservations were misplaced..after i returned from my hotel with the confirmation they were discovered. it was quite busy but the service was distracted and ..well simply not good. the food was fair to good but nothing to rave about.

Staff were fantastic including the owners. stunning range of flavors on reistafel and a la carte also very good. Very inauspicious looking from the outside but decor inside is pleasant - better than many Asian restaurants. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening in a cozy convivial atmosphere. if in Amsterdam and you want quality Indonesian food then this is for you.
The wait staff is very helpful and friendly. Let them help you choose, and be sure to have the fish they suggest. The rijstavels are an excellent selection to share family style. A note of caution, "...watch out for the KILLER!". Some dishes can be spicy, but everything has a wonderful flavor.
