Surely the best steak I had in the last two yesr even in comparison to many USA steakhouses. Juicy, tender, cooked to perfection, sides are tremendous, service is professional and attentive. The main room is classy, the disappoint comes with the check, too high even for such a place.

Terrific steaks & outstanding service. However, the huge portion of onion rings only reminded us that we were in a steak-house. So unfortunately, the only thing that we fault is the price. Equivalent US Steak-houses that I have visited (eg. - El Gaucho in Portland OR, Mark Josephs in NYC, The Oak Room in Boston ) are about 60% cheaper. Even Gary Danko's in SFO which beats it hands down is cheaper! I guess it's a matter of value - this lacks it.

Outstanding in all respects. I've been fortunate enough to visit Dublin twice, and both times eaten at Shanahan's.
Expensive? Absolutely, but the food was perfect (and our group had nearly everything on the menu!), the service was spot on, and the decor and atmosphere are elegant without pretension.
TIP: trust the somonier, she’ll find you an incredible bottle of wine from their huge cellar.
I would score the food and decor higher t

Fabulous - would definitely recommend for a memorable meal - well worth the cost - if you are looking for a fine experience but want familiar food, this is the place!

The best meal we had in Dublin, with the best service. Have a drink in the bar first (or after) for the full experience. Service for with style and humour, while being helpful (especially advice re portion sizes). Not cheap, but undoubtedly worth it.
