We looked forward to dining at this "purported gem" of traditional Czech cuisine during a visit to Prague. The review above must be years old. The one server (two rooms) was indifferent to our needs throughout the meal. He opened and served a red wine, after I ordered and pointed to a white wine on the list. The food deserves no more than a mediocre rating. We had better at less expensive restaurants. The dining rooms are dingy from neglect

Quaint romantic location (ring the doorbell) up a tiny cobblestone lane near the American embassy. Excellent service but other than desert (excellent crepes suzette) both the "traditional Czech" and continental options we tried were pretty disappointing. I guess there's a reason you don't see Czech restaurants outside of the CR.

What a disappointment! In Nov. 2007, arriving for our 7pm reservation, we were greeted at the door with "What do you want?" We should have left then, but having been touted on to the place, we stayed. Service was both lacksidasical and borderline surly. I've rated the food fair-poor because the rabbit entrees were dry, tough, overall unappealing. However, the crab appetiser was good, as was one dessert. But those two items did not make up

We had an absolutely first class dinner. The service was magnificent; the food equally good. We tried every part of the menu including the traditional Czech dinner of pork and dumplings preceeded by a potato soup and followed by pancakes with blueberry and whipped cream. The prices were lower than other places we've been in Prague and the total experience better (and we had a great dinner at Kampa Park the night before).

One of the best restaurants in Prague! Set in a little cozy "house" - you have to ring the door bell for the waiter to come and answer the door and let you in! The food was excellent, as was the service. The after dinner drinks are served in gigantic glasses, which was a nice touch - need to find some of those glasses! Overall, a great experience. Not the easiest place to find - but it is worth the effort!
