Molto rumore per nulla is Italian for Much Ado About Nothing. It is oft said, "one cannot eat badly in Trastevere." Obviously the fellow who said it never visited Alberto Ciarla. We arrived dressed a bit frumpy (we were on the last legs of a 3 week trip), and we dared to enter with Eddie Bauer rain jackets on a very stormy night. I agree full heartedly. I sent Carli the following mail: Dear Mr. Ciarla, We would like to express our feelings of great disappointment about our visit to your restaurant last thursday. Absolutey horrendous, run from this place! wildly overrated food. Maybe because we are american, we got yesterdays mixed seafood salad-all octopus and 3 obviously canned shrimp. Pasta course inedible, drowned in congealed cream. Husband could not eat cornstarched sauce over toothpicked ham (not prosciutto)on fish. Mine was mostly raisins on one tiny rouget, in Paris (France) you would get at least 3. Had to ask for salad course while they we
