Great dinner, good solid Italian food. Restaurant went from empty to full between 8.30 and 8.45; good atmosphere and we were the only non-Italians in there. Highly recommended

Had lunch or dnner here three times over two weeks in Nov-Dec 2008--that's how much we enjoyed it. Great bucatini al'amatriciana, also rigatoni carbonara. The faraona was delicious. Location, walking distance from our hotel, is midway between Ottaviano metro station and the Vatican & close to Castello. Neighborhood not frequented by tourists & we were only non-Italians on each visit. Service cordial & courteous.

Very welcoming restaurant. Agree with other reviews, we enjoyed the Bucatini ... beef in Barolo wine sauce was also excellent. House red wine served in a liter pitcher for 8 euro is a great value. On our recent visit to room, this was our second favorite restaurant, next to Piperno, but at nearly half the price.

Great place to traditional Roman food. Best Bucatini all'Amatriciana in Rome. Tripe is divine. Reasonably priced. Service very good. Worth seeking out.

A perfect choice for dinner in a residential neighborhood away from the tourist crowds. All the basics plus many not on the menu..look around to see what they have that night. Well priced and truly authentic.
