There's lots to recommend this place. Service is good, food is good, fish is good. It's one of my favorites and the hours are also quite respectalbe, even on weekends.

I should have known better with a name like "Chiu's" that I was in for trouble. I ordered their fresh scallops sashimi - came out with thin slices of lemon in between each slice of scallop, perhaps to disguise what was really not all that "fresh". The tempura was the worst I've ever had! Inedible, and I rarely waste anything fried. They also charge for green tea! When I complained the owner said that is the way they do Japanese in Baltimore!

Best sushi my fiance and I have every had. It is creative and melts in your mouth. The warm towels at the beginning and end of the meal are a nice touch too.

With the sushi this good here, you will be surprised to find that the owners are indeed Chinese. Order whatever heart desires and feel how the fish melts in your mouth and the rice leaves a last hint of wasabi upon your palette.
