Still the only very fine food in Brookline; priced no more than lesser restaurants Fireside and Pomodoro. Presentations homey, not pretentious. Superb wood grilled foods. Imaginative menu; creative chef/owner; cichetti appetizers idiosyncratic, treat as tapas. Simple bread w/ delicious olive oil ricotta spread. Tables rustic, heavy wood; few seats uncomfortable. Decor, threadbare linens much need refurbishing. Helpful staff. Good wines.

fairly good food although lacking the subtleties of fine city dining. Very casual restaurant set up for casual dining , not for quiet dining.

I have tried La Mora few times, always hoping that this time it will be good.
What a disappointment!!!
Food and spices very mediocre, meat is always over done, and place is always nosy even when it is half empty

The chef/owner's seasonal menus require "at least" four visits per year. The food is unique, the servers interested and friendly, the owners remarkably hands-on. Make a reservation early so you won't miss that special evening you've been waiting for!
