I'm surprised at so many negative posts about the sushi and the quality of food. The dinner sushi box was presented well and everything was simple and fresh. The salmon and tuna were delicious and the salmon had the perfect flavor and mouthfeel. Barbecued eel over rice was just right. Miso soup was very flavorful, with generous portions of tofu and scallions. I agree atmosphere is a bit 'clubby' and acoustics aren't good, but food is great!
One of our favorite asian places ever. Reliable food, and service make the noise level worth putting up with. Everything on the exhaustive menu is a bargain. I agree with the reviews about skipping the specialty drinks but the happy hour beers and sake are always a hit.
Go for happy hour - the bar has a good vibe and good prices - 1$ sushi and other small plates. The resturaunt looks like an Ikea cafeteria with bright lights and plastic everywhere - it is loud and sterile. I had a malaysian dish and my husband had a thai dish that were both bland and sweet. Service was fine.
If you go during happy hours, prices are inexpensive. Sushi is only ok here (taste and quality are mediocre), and drinks are also unremarkable. (Do not order the bubbletini - just disgusting. Their Asian martini is ok though.) The ambiance is cheap chic, with ikea-style tables and furniture and a youngish yuppie crowd. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place, but it works if you've no expectations.
Ignore this restaurant. Admittedly, finding a great -- or even for that matter -- a good restaurant in Rosslyn can be a difficult proposition, but this restaurant really falls below average. I have eaten here twice looking for some decent Thai food and unfortunately have left this establishment both times as unsatisfied and sick. The Thai salad was iceberg lettuce saturated in spices and the coconut/chicken soup was bland. Service was slow.
