The food is OK, but there is better Italian food in Philly. The portions are small. What bothers me about Bellini is how they hard sell the desserts and coffee. They act as a team ,and they've got it down pat. You say "no" to two different people and ask for the check, they set the table anyway, and then your waitress appears and asks what you've decided on for dessert. They should be selling timeshares.

I went there with a party of five for a friend's birthday during restaurant week. The service was horrible. They only bring out the bread and drinks after you place your orders. The portions were very small, and highly priced. If you go with a party of 4 or more, they automatically charge you 20% gratuity (despite the menu stating it is a party of six or more). They also charge a service fee. Very rude, and unprofessional. DO NOT EAT HERE.

We arrived on time for our 6:00pm reservation and were given our choice of table. The lentil soup appetizer was home made, as are all the pastas in this restaurant. Entrees were an excellent veal chop demi-glace with polenta, portabellas, and broccoli rabe and a standard veal parmisian. Service was very good, including attention from a very friendly owner/manager. We easily made our 8:00 pm concert. We will definitely return.

Jimmy, the owner and head chef helped make my rehearsal dinner truly special. The meal drew rave reviews and the service and attention was very good. I cannot thank the Bellini team enough for making my wedding weekend incredibly memorable. We considered a dozen places but Bellini stood out before the event and I can only praise them further after the event. THANK YOU THANK YOU Jimmy.

The service was rushed, as soon as we finished eating our plates were gone like we were being pushed to leave as soon as possible. (This could have happened because it was restaurant week and the place was packed.) However, the food was great and the prices were resasonable. I'll be going back.
