If you are a food connoisseur definitelly not recommend this place. This is the first time we went, because place came up on web search. FOOD: was very average, pretty oily and quite tasteless. Comparing to Segovia in Moonachie - this place offers fast food. And is waaay overpriced! SERVICE: Professional, however these guys are all over you, all the time, which we personally don't like. INTERIOR: Pretty nicely done, feels comfortable and warm.

I have been to this restaurant several times and can honestly say I have never been disappointed, the food is very very good, and the portions are generous, the service in the dining room is excellent but can be a little stuffy at times. Good wine list and an enchanting wine cellar decor. Went on another occasion an dined at the bar, same great food friendly and prompt service in a more casual setting.

I've eaten at many of the Portugese/Spanish restaurants in the "Ironbound" section of Newark. I found the Adega Grill to be very ordinary. The food was good. Appetizers are typical in size, main courses are very good size, and taste good. But the food is somewhat expensive for what it is. The desserts are very, very small in size and no better than desserts in franchise type eateries. Sangria just average. Overall, just average.

Newark is known for great Portugese spots, Adega is one of them. Great staff and choices. Delicious Sangrias here. One specialty sangria is made with champagne. Seafood is served with sides such as sweet plantains and delicious fresh cut potatoes.

The food was good enough to bring me back to try some other dishes- the rack of lamb I had was just OK, but the lobster appetizer was amazing. The service was outstanding, a big plus in my book. And if you like Sangria, make the trip to this place- easily the best I ever had.
