If you love a tremendous amount of food this is your place! The pulled pork and the ribs are very tender and the sweet potato fries are excellent! The food is actually great if you like a heavy smoked flavor.

Was disappointed with the food. The wings appetizer were huge and oversauced that made them impossible to eat or taste anything but sauce. The pulled pork platter was good but a little sweet, the sides of mac n cheese and baked beans were excellent, however the cornbrerad was cold and not very good. The brisket sandwich was okay. May return to try other items but not worthy of the rating..

Al's serves the only good BBQ I've had on Long Island, and the food rivals some of the best joints I've sampled in the Carolinas and Texas. The sliced brisket and delightfully tart cole slaw are to die for! I rarely eat there even though the Bay Shore restaurant is a mile from my home, however, because you can't get into the place at meal times and it gets EXTREMELY noisy. But it's worth a trip if you're up for a late lunch or early dinner.

Long wait at night is avoided by arriving early. Great BBQ. Ribs, sausage, brisket, chicken are excellent. I think it is the best BBQ here on LI. N.B. they can not accommodate large groups. If you want to avoid the crowds order on line and pick up. Its the best.
