Sadly, a feeling of being slowly mugged near Central park was my overriding memory. Whilst the view & the service is impeccable and the food is very good it is not as good as elsewhere I have eaten in Paris or London for much less money. The wine list has almost no bottles under $100. Of the choice of three starters, one has supplement of $30 and one has a mind blowing $150 on top of the $275 fix price the only option as no a la carte.

The best food in the world! From the very beginning, once I tasted the oyster and pearls, I felt content. Also, the view was breathtaking and the service impeccable. I will return at least once a year!

Incredibly delicious food and presentation. Wonderful wine selection and cocktails. However, did not enjoy the attituted of the wait staff at all.

We were not as bowled over as some reviewers appear to have been, but it's still a top-notch place - and it better be at these prices. Reportedly it was named "Per Se" as an indication that it would not be a French Laundry clone, but would stand on its own. It is, however, a French Laundry clone. That said, a most enjoyable experience, particularly when someone else is paying.

I went to Per Se last week along with my girlfriend, it was one of the best restaurant that I have had. I rarely writes review on Zagat, but I have tried alot of top rated restaurants in LA, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. One suggestion will be: Jacket required? for 4 hours in the dining room? You must be kidding.
