Best sushi in chicagoland. Perfect for all traditional japanese food. Katsu has the freshest and best prepared sushi in town. It's also great to see katsu behind the counter preparing your meal. The entire staff is great.

They're like my adoptive Japanese family (for a nice Jewish boy), but seriously, they make everyone feel at home-like old friends, and serve the most delectable sushi-fish sourced outside the usual U.S. network-Katsu supposedly gets some fish direct from Tsukiji. Hot food is also often exquisite, with a signature duck dish and awfully good chawan mushi, just to name a few.

Always the freshest fish and a welcome befitting a family friend. Unusual seasonal specials not typically seen in sushi or Japanese restaurants such as special mushroom or clams. Try the eggplant agedashi for a treat. If you order from the daily specials you will never be disappointed.
