Never has so much been paid for so little. My third time at this place. Each time I've been surprised with the blandness of the food. Not to mention the tiny portions. This last time, the service was way over the top. It was afternoon so I asked for a beer. I was snootily regaled for fully five minutes on their varieties of speciaty beers. Just wanted a cold beer. Went on in much the same vein. Trying way too hard to be "it".

I haven't tried the Blue Hill in New York, but this one is phenomenal. The food was absolutely sublime, although, as the other reviewers have said, you have almost no control over what comes to your table (the restaurant can, however, accommodate vegetarians and food allergies). You will discover new flavors and find that vegetables have never tasted so good. This was one of the best--if not the best--meal I've ever had.

Food was OK not great …particularly for the price. Portions tiny; requirement that everyone at the table have the same number of courses was unappealing; not discussing what you were actually going to be served until it arrived at the table diminished the eating experience…nothing to look forward to. Service was pretty good…..especially the coordinated unveiling of each plate...how precious!! Blue Hill in NYC much better.

The food was sublime, though we had been told that the Sunday brunch was $68 and were charged $85. The service was fussy--the hor d'ouerves rushed out and we counted 12 times that crumbs were brushed off our table. The decor could not be less imaginative, with ugly lights for sconces and glasses piled on tables in the dining room. The sommelier was unhelpful, but steered us to more expensive wines when we had given him a range. Never again!
