Torturous experience. Great food but too much, too slow. and too uncomfortable. 5 hours in an unpadded hard backed chair with erratic gaps in service makes me suspect that the objective is food aversion therapy.

Outstanding molecular gastronomy experience--not for the timid. Choice of 10 or 20 course tasting menu with optional beverage pairing. Allow a few hours. Preparation and presentation is exciting and unusual, at times whimsical. Delicious food and drinks. Decor is beautiful and uncomplicated, ambience is serene and adds to the dining experience. Knowledgeable and attentive staff.

20 courses with beverage pairings == 4 hours of culinary amazement. OK. These are not all savory items, and some thrive on wonder and creativity more than on purely being delicious. (Mom never made dishes like these, and that's just fine.) After having meals around the planet from humble to royal, I have to say this was an experience well worth the time. Forget what you know about how ingredients go together & observe the magic. (F28,D21,S26)

Always top of mind when I'm in the mood for a great experience. Most high-end tasting menus are going to see some interesting creations come across your plate, but Moto takes it to a completely different level. I've been here a number of times and continue to see new and inventive menu items -- part food, part science project, but never compromising taste. Only downside is the decor and layout of the restaurant leave something to be desired.

Hyper-modern enclave where the food's good but style trumps substance and both are somewhat flawed. This is Alinea-lite at Alinea-like prices.
