Have tried both the Eden Prairie and Uptown Campiellos. My wife and I love all of the other D'Amico restaurants, but we've never been blown away by Campiello. The food is okay, not bad, but certainly not great. We've given up on this place and would much rather go to Arezzo or Broder's.
Great food, great service. Only downside is that it is not conversation friendly.
Campiellos' prices equal a 3 star restaurant, but you receive 5 star service. The food is very good, atmosphere terrific-outdoor patio in summer and smaller room in winter-and the service is equal to any top restaurant in the Twin Cities. Pastas are terrific and the restaurant does regional Italian foods so the menu changes. I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed.
D'Amico Cucina on the cheap. Great casual Italian food in a friendly-yet-elegant setting. The outside patios are great - though the Lake Street side can be noisy - especially for a pre-Uptown or Lagood movie meal. Friendly and helpful wait staff and terrific food - great value for money.
