Excellent food. Not traditional, stuffy French, but with an updated twist. Good wine list. Skip the pomme frites if you're ordering an entree. Wait staff is knowledgeable without being condescending.

My favorite place to saunter in and order a plate of frites and fondue, even though I wont be getting a free meal at the cost of my mother who refuses to eat at Caf� Barbette because of the lousy service. I don't think we're hip enough to receive any attention, but darn the fries are good.

Funky? Definitely! Terrific food? Ohmygod, YES! The crowd here ranges from those with piercings and black-dyed hair, to middle-aged folks (like me) and I love that diversity. The chicken/potatoes is a classic comfort food favorite - not overwhelmingly huge which I appreciate, but yummy! Also excellent specials - often exotic but definitely tasty. It's our favorite spot for a casual dinner.
