What a dining experience! This restaurant has creative dishes with an extensive wine list. The wild fish and the lamb saddle were two of the best dishes my wife and I had in San Francisco. The overall dining experience was fabulous. The service and staff was professional and I will definitely return.

Food was good, but only some of it was terrific. Staff was generally good, but had to wait 15 minutes for cocktails in the bar, and at least 15 minutes before desert reached us after main course dishes were cleared. Best single dish among four person party, was the root-beer float for dessert.

You have to appreciate fine dining to go to this place, if not , skip it. There are many, many tastes in this meal, almost all equisite. The food is excellent, but the portions are very small. If you appreciate fine dining, it wont matter, you will be more then satisfied. With the trio of each course, you get alot of tastes and enough food. I ate at the bar and was able to get a full menu, friendly bartender and great service.

Every bite of food was delicious with a very nice wine list. One of the best meals I have ever enjoyed. The room is comfortable and the adjoining hotel lobby is beautiful (but loud). I suggest requesting a table overlooking Union square and away from the lobby.

We dined at Michael Minna's restaurant in July in San Francisco. We were aware of the special, for hotel guests, of a $55, 3 course meals. It was necessary to ask for the special menu. We were told that the portions were "slightly smaller" than the standard bill of fare. The appetizer, tuna tartar was excellent and quite adequate. Then came the disappointment. My wife ordered halibut. The portion was minuscule (2 oz) as was my filet. Shame on u.
