The food at this Venetian restaurant was excellent. The prices was definitely cheap in Europe standards. Please have the Concierge at your hotel try to guide you to the restaurant. I took a water taxi to the restaurant and it was almost as expensive as the bill itself. :)

Try Alle Testiere or Da Ivo for much better casual dining ... the da Gigio's food is cheap but mediocre. If you're willing to pay for the best go to Fortuny or Club del Doge.

Grilled eel and baccal dishes were great. Restaurant is very small and busy. Like anywhere in Europe when busy it can be a very warm dining r

Wanted to give a word of warning on this restaurant. The food ranges from inedible to tolerable. The service is outright atrocious. Our concierge tried to warn us, but having read all these reviews, we were determined. Apparently, they have bought into their own hype and now have a most superior attitude. My dinner was inedible. They asked if I wanted something else, which I ordered. Then they charged for both, even bringing the owner out
