Fantastic food, beautiful cosy location, friendly welcoming staff. The food in this place is worth travelling for. Good ingredients treated well and full of flavour. don't live in NY but travel to New Paltz maybe once a year to visit family and I make straight to the Tearoom for a pot of Barry's tea (their house blend) and a cream puff. Is it wrong to dream about a dessert?

Warm, intimate, delicious...spiffed up elegant comfort food with pedigree. lots of local farms contibute to the excellent ingredients. Sunchoke Soup and Beef Stew from a local organic and pastured herd was perfect for a wet and wintry october night. The Quince Bread Pudding managed to be light and rich. There's a terrific selection of teas though i always get the brazilian peaberry coffee, The Cream Puffs are legendary.

Have been here 3 times and consistantly good food.
Fresh ingredients, eveything we have had was good.
Not easy to get in New Paltz.

My favorite place in New Paltz. Agnes knows how to prepare a wonderful fresh seasonal menu and the desserts are fabulous. I love the 3 salad combo for lunch. If you want a delicious and healthy breakfast try the oatmeal, it is the best I ever ate.
