This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have been to. The salad with my meal was drenched with salad dressing and the salad was limp as if this was sitting in a refrigerator for hours.
The main dish was so bad that I had to spit it out-which I have never done at a restaurant.
The Margarita tasted like it was a from a mix with lots of ice. We have had killer margaritas in Tucson, this was far from it.
Do not go here.

Service and food went a little downhill since the last time we visited. Decor is that of a bar more than anything else now for this location at least. I think next time we might try again at the original location. There was a certain vibe about that place that gave it more charm. I think it's agood value and the food was decent but it just wasn't the same. I had dreams of going back to this place so maybe my expectations were too high.

Drop-dead charming old place that's a must for visitors to Tucson. Better than average "Mexican" fare and margaritas large enough to bathe in.

Delicious food & killer margaritas. Would highly recommend carne seca, topo salad & bacon wrapped shrimp. A MUST: the chimichanga! Avoid the fried taco. Nice selection of Mexican beers. Many wonderful nooks & crannies that have either one or a couple of tables making for a night of almost private dinning. Servers are very gracious. Celiacs will scream in glee to learn they have a gluten free menus. Make a reservation. GO WILDCATS! BEAR DOWN AZ!

Impressively tasty food, even if it's standard fare. The carne seca really is worth all the hype. There is a very nice glassed-in patio in front, the rest of restaurant seems a little dark. Service is OK. Located in charming historic neighborhood.
