Best meal yet in Vegas. Went to Joel Robuchon two nights later and wished we were back at Alex again. Service was absolutely perfect. Tasting menu with wine pairing was wonderful. Try the cheese tray before dessert. Expect to pay top $$ for both wine and food. Very few wine options under $100 (house champagne about $30/glass) On par with Picasso, better than Joel Robuchon
World Class Dining Experience, Worth every Dollar
Stunning decor/appointments. Service among the VERY best. Food not equal to the decor and service. Fancies Asian fusion too much for our taste. Super, tiny seafood canapes each with complex sauce. Shashimi fine-w/ jalapeno, lemon, caviar combo, not so good. Sea scallop outstanding, involved. Two foie gras-cold (perfect), hot (meh). “Rogue du Roche” w/over-“corriandered” orange/burgundy sauce uninspired. 72hour shortribs tremendous taste.
Beautiful decor and faultless service unfortunately coupled with merely good food. Food is good but certainly not meet up to the five star expectation, especially with the "six star" price tag. Save your money and eat somewhere else, twice.
Alex is an absolute gem. I visted the restaurant twice and had a wonderful experience each time. I chose the prix fixe menu and chose Escargot Ravioli to start and Veal with sweetbread ravioli as a entree. The amuse bouche, starter, and entree were expertly prepared and artfully presented. Service was quietly attentive and efficient. The selection of wines by the glass was good with ample variety. Outstanding in every respect. Five stars, five $.
