  • Bacchanalia

    Food: 29
    Decor: 26
    Service: 28
    Cost: $111

Holding fast as the "pinnacle of refined dining" (voted No. 1 for Food and Popularity in Atlanta), this near-"flawless" Westside New American "keeps it fresh year after year" with "absolutely outstanding" fare, served in a five-course, prix fixe menu that can be paired with an "impeccable" wine list for a "feast befitting its name"; the "well-trained" staff works with "panache", the setting is done up in "chic retro-industrial" style and there's a definite "sense of occasion" in the air, leaving the "extraordinary" cost as the only sticking point; P.S. à la carte ordering is available at the bar and allowed, if not encouraged, in the dining room.

  • Antico Pizza Napoletana

    Food: 28
    Decor: 17
    Service: 19
    Cost: $19

"Real-deal" ovens and "genuine Italian ingredients" make for "otherworldly" pizzas at this "family-run" Westside joint near Georgia Tech, where "heavenly" Neapolitan pies with "perfect crusts" have earned a "cult following"; "blaring" acoustics, "limited" communal seating and "hectic" weekend scenes come with the territory, but in return there's "opera on the speakers", "soccer on the telly" and a money-saving BYO policy.

  • Aria

    Food: 28
    Decor: 26
    Service: 26
    Cost: $60

Dubbed the place for "special occasions", this "longtime favorite" in Buckhead via chef-owner Gerry Klaskala "continues to impress" with "masterful" New American fare abetted by a "phenomenal wine list" and "Kathryn King's fabulous desserts"; the "elegant", "contemporary art"–adorned digs work for both "business" and "romance" and service is "attentive", so the "expensive" tabs are deemed "worth the money", given the overall "impeccable" experience; P.S. there's a tiny "table in the wine cellar" that doubles as a "den of iniquity."

  • Bone's

    Food: 28
    Decor: 24
    Service: 28
    Cost: $66

"Hobnob" with the "who's who" of Buckhead at this "old-school" "cathedral of steak" renowned for "phenomenal" chops "cooked to perfection" and served by a team so "stellar" that it's been voted No. 1 for Service in Atlanta; "manly", "power-broker" decor, a "private-club" feel and an "epic wine list" ("presented on an iPad", no less) make the "platinum-card" prices easier to digest.

  • Valenza

    Food: 28
    Decor: 24
    Service: 25
    Cost: $39

Brookhaven diners dig this "delightful" Northern Italian "neighborhood place" where chef Matt Swickerath offers "fine pastas" and other "super-fresh" food in "large portions" paired with a "well-chosen" wine list; "prompt" service, "value" pricing and a "familial" setting with Venetian plastered walls add to the overall "pleasant" experience.

  • Chops Lobster Bar

    Food: 27
    Decor: 25
    Service: 27
    Cost: $66

"Still thriving after all these years", this "powerhouse" Buckhead Life Group surf 'n' turfer is "always packed" with "socialites", "businessmen" and "good ol' boys" with a hankering for "delectable" "man food" served by a "congenial", "old-school" team; upstairs, "dark wood and red leather" lend a "corporate-boardroom" feel, while downstairs, the tiled arched ceilings recall "Grand Central Station's Oyster Bar", but wherever you sit you can expect a "loud", "happening" scene and "wildly expensive" tabs.

  • LPC

    Food: 27
    Decor: 21
    Service: 25
    Cost: $48

This "super" Midtown trattoria offers a contemporary Italian menu that includes "outstanding pasta" and "incredible" black spaghetti with rock shrimp; the "office-building" location on "busy" Peachtree Pointe can be "difficult to find", but payoffs include "polished" service and an "artistic setting" that's "perfect for pre-theater" or a "romantic" date; granted, the tabs are decidedly "high-end", but "worth every penny."

  • Star Provisions

    Food: 27
    Decor: 20
    Service: 25
    Cost: $21

It's a "top-notch experience from start to finish" at this market adjunct to Westside's vaunted Bacchanalia, an "inviting" go-to for "food and cooking-supply decadence", where "helpful" staffers oversee the "beautiful" bounty of "highest-quality" meats, seafood, cheese, produce, wine and kitchenwares, as well as the "fantastic pastry shop" and bakery/deli offering "fresh artisanal" breads, sandwiches and more; specializing in the kind of "rare and exquisite" goods "you can't find at your local grocery", it's "pricey" – but it's also a "fun" place to "just look and admire."

  • Restaurant Eugene

    Food: 27
    Decor: 25
    Service: 27
    Cost: $66

"Everything's just right" at this "spectacular" New American in South Buckhead, an "adult" exercise in "quiet sophistication" that's touted for chef Linton Hopkins' "rewarding" farm-to table menu and "superlative wine pairings"; granted, it's "costly" and what's "intimate" to some is too "staid" for others, but ultimately the "soft lights", "elegant" furnishings and "impeccable" service make for the "most consistent fine dining in Atlanta."

    2277 Peachtree Rd.; 404-355-0321

  • Sotto Sotto

    Food: 27
    Decor: 22
    Service: 25
    Cost: $46

This "heavenly", "intimate" Northern Italian in Inman Park via chef-owner Riccardo Ullio "just gets better with age", dispatching "superb pasta" and "memorable risotto" paired with a "well-thought-out wine list"; "special-occasion" pricing and "tables packed on top of each other" to the contrary, this is the "kind of place you dream about" thanks to its "charming" mien and "precision" service "beyond compare."
