Sip: Ray's on the River welcomes warm temperatures with its monthly wine-and-cheese event, taking advantage of the increasing daylight hours. This month's event at the Sandy Springs restaurant takes place Friday, May 16 ($20, 5-7 PM; 770-955-1187).
Watch: Travel Channel show "Food Paradise" films in Atlanta this week, and they'll be at Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand in EAV on Friday, May 16. Want to support your local joint and make it looked all packed and happy? Hit up Delia's via Facebook for details and specifics (404-474-9651).
Taste: Hand-in-many-pots chef Jarrett Stieber (Eat Me Speak Me, Gato Arigato, The General Muir) puts on a three-course seasonal dinner (including cooking demonstration) and chats seasonal produce. The event takes place on Friday, May 16, at a Candler Park location revealed upon purchase of tickets ($65; 8-10 PM).
Drink: Live bands, DJs and more than 175 craft beers? Yep, it's the 11th annual East Atlanta Beer Fest, taking place Saturday, May 17, in EAV's Brownwood Park. All proceeds benefit the East Atlanta Foundation ($40-$75; 1-6 PM).
Graze: Taste of the Highlands takes place on Saturday, May 17, at John Howell Park on Virginia Avenue. A number of neighborhood and nearby restaurants are participating, offering unlimited bites. Expect to see Alon's, Folk Art, Atkins Park, Bar Meatball, Timone's, Murphy's and many, many more ($35-$70; 2-5 PM).
Hula: Saturday, May 17, Meehan’s Public House in Vinings is hosting an outdoor luau featuring a rotisserie pig, brisket and smoked wings! Polynesian-themed outfits are encouraged - grass skirts, leis and Hawaiian shirts, etc. - and the restaurant hints there may be a costume contest (noon; 770-433-1920).
Feast: Crabapple eatery Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails hosts its first installment of this year's Garden Dinner series (pictured above) on Sunday, May 18. Future dinners take place on June 22, September 14 and October 12. The dinner includes hors d'oeuvres and four courses prepared by chef Derek Dollar as well as drinks and a tour of the restaurant's farm and the neighboring Strawberry Fields ($125; 5-8 PM; 770-817-30009).
