Turns out Austin chefs have quite the eclectic taste when it comes to music. In the first edition of a multipart series, CultureMap Austin finds that Lenoir co-owner and pastry chef Jessica Maher loves indie pop like Ryan Adams, Jenny Lewis and Neko Case and Ramen Tatsu-Ya’s Takuya Matsumoto loves the Wu-Tang Clan. Meanwhile Ramen Tatsu-Ya’s Tatsu Aikawa says he needs silence when creating recipes or brainstorming ideas. While he can listen to just about anything while he cooks, like his co-chef he loves “Bring da Ruckus” by, you guessed it, Wu-Tang Clan.
