If you spent the weekend picking your way (bushel by bushel) through a New England apple orchard, you might be wondering what to do with the bounty. For inspiration, grab a ticket ($60; $25 additional for drink-pairing option) to the Apple Lover's Harvest Dinner tomorrow, October 15, at Zebra's Bistro and Wine Bar. The 6:30 PM dinner will feature a seasonal four-course menu inspired by The Apple Lover's Cookbook, by local author Amy Traverso. (Guests will also go home with a signed copy, and have the opportunity to bend Traverso's ear for added ideas.) What's on the agenda? Expect scallop crudo with apple vin; apple and carnaroli rice risotto; cider brined pork tenderloin with apple sauce; and a sweet treat of apple cider and doughnuts (plus some added bites as amuse bouche and intermezzo). Call ahead for reservations (508-359-4100).
