Bondir Hosts Wine Maven Terry Theise

Wine gives everyone a way with words. It's uncanny how after a glass or two a person can be so much more eloquent. (At least, that's what we think when we're sending work emails after dinner. Then the morning comes. Whoops.) But truly, wine connoisseur Terry Theise is a bit more adroit than the average imbiber. The James Beard Foundation Award winner for outstanding wine and spirits professional is also renowned for his unique way of talking about the subject, as you'll find in his book Reading Between the Wines. Rather than rely on traditional descriptors like "earthy" and "oaky," Theise is inclined toward spouting colorful phrases like, "a glass of grape mojo," and creating unique categories (such as "happy dog wines" that "jump up and lick your face!") Sounds like an awesome dinner guest, so join him at an intimate four-course meal tomorrow, November 12, at 6 PM at Bondir. Theise will pair chef de cuisine Marc Sheehan's seasonal menu with selections from his own portfolio. Tickets are $150. The conversation will be free. And amazing (617-661-0009).
