The breakfast dishes get pretty darn decadent at Oak Cliff Southern-cooking hot spot Jonathon's, with brunch kabobs featuring three types of pork, and an eggy, meaty mound of omelet called The Kure. After a recent visit, however, we’re inclined to pick the fried chicken and waffle as one of our new favorites for feasting. A gigantic chicken-fried chicken is perched on top of a sweet, hefty Belgian waffle, and all of the above get coated in peppered cream gravy. For our part, we couldn’t stop there, though. This baby begged for some maple syrup, and adding it was about the best decision of our Sunday Funday. The crisp crunch of the chicken, the juicy meat, the soft-and-sweetness of the waffle and the candy coating of syrup made each bite pure gold – and a brunch to remember.
