800 Degrees Santa Monica Opens January 6By Lesley Balla

If your New Year's resolutions includes eating more pizza, you're in luck - at least those of you in and around Santa Monica. The Umami Group pizza offshoot 800 Degrees will open its next location on Wilshire Boulevard on Monday, January 6. Like the original, the new location will have a restaurant with about 120 seats, as well as a counter that you walk along, picking and choosing your favorite pizza toppings. Once everything is ready, the 'za gets fired to order in the wood-burning oven, and it's yours pretty moments after you pay. Also like the Westwood location, there's an adjacent to-go spot for easy pickup and panuozzos (!). Oh yeah, and there's free parking for one hour; can't beat that with a piece of mozzarella. This is part of the 800 Degrees expansion, which includes the new outpost at the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, and forthcoming spots in Downtown LA, Pasadena and Las Vegas.
