While this month welcomes hurricane season and humidity, it's also the start of a food-infused summer. We hope you're hungry, because there's a lot of food to be eaten, especially at these two tasty events.
Taste of the Nation South Florida hits the upscale Loews Miami Beach Hotel on Tuesday, June 17, starting at 7 PM. The annual culinary event features pop-up food stations from over 60 local restaurants (The Cypress Room, Michael Mina 74 and Pubbelly). Ticket sales benefit Share Our Strength, a non-profit that helps end childhood hunger. Prices are $125 per person for general admission; $250 for VIP and $75 for the after party. From June 29-30, Taste of the Caribbean comes to Hyatt Regency. Chefs and mixologists from all over the country face off in food and drink competitions that guests help judge. Interactive events include the International Caribbean Culinary Team Lunch Challenge, a three-course lunch paired with wine, prepared by chefs from islands like the Bahamas and Barbados (June 30, 12-1:30 PM).
