By Carissa Chesanek

With Spris Restaurant's new Downtown locale, we got to thinking about the buzziest pizza spots in town. There are plenty of places found all over this Magic City that surely satisfy the craving for some saucy, cheesy goodness. Here are eight top spots to try now.

  • Pizza Bar

You can choose to set up shop inside this cozy South Beach pizza joint when hankering for its extra-large cheese pizza and garlic knots, or enjoy getting the signature monster pies sent directly to your doorstep.

    1627 Collins Ave.; 305-672-6880

  • Harry's Pizzeria

Michael Schwartz's tiny hole-in-the-wall Design District space is known to shell out plenty of gourmet-style pies made with top-notch ingredients like slow roasted lamb and oysters.

    3918 N Miami Ave.; 786-275-4963

  • Pizza Rustica

Known as a Miami Beach staple, this Lincoln Road hot spot has expanded to many other Miami neighborhoods providing customers in each area with classic specialty pies like chipotle shrimp and roasted chicken.

    500 Brickell Ave,; 786-787-8422

  • Frankie's Pizza

South Miami's little gourmet pizza shop is a go-to for every local in the area because it serves simple pies consisted of ample classic toppings: chopped garlic, anchovies and sausage.

    9118 Bird Rd.; 305-221-0221

  • Andiamo! Brick Oven Pizza

When in the mood for crispy thin-crust pizza, this Upper East Side eatery has you covered with plenty of options like the New Yorker made with fresh mozzarella and basil or the Brooklyn Special that's made with caramelized onions and pepperoni.

    5600 Biscayne Blvd.; 305-762-5751

  • Miami's Best Pizza

This cozy Coral Gables space has been around since the '70s, serving its diners anything from traditional super-stuffed cheese pies to gourmet sauteed shrimp and crab meat pizzas.

    1514 S Dixie Hwy.; 305-666-5931

  • Spris Restaurant

While this pizza shop recently opened its latest Downtown outpost, we're still a fan of bustling Lincoln Road original, serving guests its traditional plates like the  saucy Genovese pie made with kalamata olives, garlic and pesto.

    731 Lincoln Rd.; 305-673-2020

  • Steve's Pizza

With a cheap delivery fee and ample pizza selection, this North Miami venue is the place to call for late night to-go orders, especially for the signature pie made of mushrooms, green peppers and ground beef.

    12101 Biscayne Blvd.; 305-891-0202
