Il Sole Opens in the Versace Mansion

Last September, the Nakash Family, who owns Jordache Enterprises bought the historic Versace Mansion for $41.5 million and brought in restaurateur Barton G. Weiss and his team The Villa By Barton G. to develop a new Mediterranean-style restaurant concept called Il Sole. The newly opened venue with a name that translates to "the sun" in Italian, is set inside an ultrachic setting with imported Spanish pebble mosaics lining the wall and frescoed murals taking up the ceiling. Executive chef Scott Linquist leads the kitchen in creating Mediterranean dishes like lobster beet and burrata salad, Moroccan-spiced lamb tagine and pistachio seared Hawaiian ahi - fish that is flown in daily from Honolulu. As for drinks, there is a decent wine selection that's served by the glass or the bottle, along with several beer options including Fat Tire Amber Ale and Chimay White. Dinner is available Monday-Thursday at 6-10 PM and Friday-Saturday from 6 PM-midnight.
